This role is pivotal in conducting technical actuarial rate reviews, managing pricing changes, and ensuring the integrity of our pricing structures.

**The Role**

As a Pricing Actuary, you'll play a pivotal role in conducting technical actuarial rate reviews, managing pricing changes, and ensuring the integrity of our pricing structures.

Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid grasp of statistical modelling techniques.

Accountabilities:

- Lead end-to-end rate review processes, including data analysis, modelling, implementation, and monitoring.
- Evaluate alternative data sources and modelling approaches for pricing.
- Contribute to the development of new pricing strategies and structures.
- Identify opportunities to enhance and automate the monitoring process.
- Understand and communicate the expected impact of pricing changes.
- Prepare and present complex papers for presentation.
- Manage and/or mentor junior pricing staff.

Knowledge and Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in the general insurance industry.
- Actuarial qualification or nearing qualification (Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in statistical modelling techniques and software (e.g., EMBLEM, Radar, Python, R, SAS, SQL).
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial studies, or related field (Actuarial qualifications preferred).
