From user feedback and customer interviews to support tickets and sales calls, Dovetail helps you uncover insights fast—no matter the method. Driven by ambition and innovation, the Dovetail team is customer-obsessed and on a mission to help the world improve the quality of every thing. Join the ranks of Atlassian, The New York Times, Spotify, Universal, Porsche, Starbucks, and thousands more as they put their customer first with Dovetail and improve the quality of their thing.
Founded in 2017 by Benjamin Humphrey and Bradley Ayers, Dovetail has 100+ employees across offices in Sydney and San Francisco. We've created a unique environment to help us achieve our challenging mission. A culture that aspires to excellence, where nothing is too small to be improved.
**What you'll do**:
- **Manage a robust SEO content program.** We have built out a content machine that publishes 50 high-quality articles each month. You’ll work with a team of freelancers responsible for the creation, review, distribution, and optimization of this content. You’ll collaborate with content creators, editors, and designers to ensure content aligns with Dovetail’s voice, style, and standards. You will also handle vendor relationships and negotiate contracts related to content operations tools and services.
- **Build and maintain world-class content management processes.** The success of our SEO content program requires well-thought-out and efficient content management processes and workflows to ensure efficient content creation and delivery.
- **Collaborate with cross-functional teams.** Content is an important part of our company's growth strategy. You’ll collaborate with internal teams including product marketing, sales, and product, to align content strategies with our business goals. You’ll work closely with web engineering and design to optimize our content for SEO, user experience, and performance.
- **Measure and report on key content metrics.** We always want to understand what is and isn’t working with our content program, and identify ways we can deliver more value to our customers. You’ll monitor content performance and user engagement metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. You will identify opportunities for automation and optimization of content operations processes and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in content operations and technology.
**Your background**:
- **You’re incredibly organized and process-driven.** We need the person in this role to have excellent project management skills and a desire to solve problems with scalable, compounding solutions.
- **You have an analytical mindset.** We need someone with a strong ability to interpret data to drive content strategy and knowledge of SEO and content optimization best practices.
- **You’re an excellent communicator.** This role requires strong written and spoken communication skills. You’ll need to spot spelling and grammar errors in articles before they go live, give feedback to writers on how to improve their work, and influence stakeholders internally through blog posts and in-person conversations.
- **Startup expertise is a plus.** Ideally, you have hands-on experience working in startups that are growing and transitioning to a more mature scale-up. You take initiative, make autonomous decisions, and influence your own career path.
**Benefits**:
- **Equity for everyone.** We put our money where our mouth is. No matter your role, we provide equity for all along with competitive salaries. See your investment grow as Dovetail grows.
- **Equal parental leave.** We offer an inclusive framework of 20 weeks equal paid leave to support new parents. Every family is unique, so you make the call how you’d like to take care of what matters most.
- **Flexible work-life balance.** Whether you're a parent, student, or juggling a million things, we get it. While we're an office-first culture, we work together to make your schedule work for you.
- **Develop and grow.** Take a course, attend a lunch and learn, or head to a conference to help you grow We love to support you any way we can, so expect Dovetail to be your #1 fan when it comes to achieving your career goals.
- **Extra paid days off.** Enjoy ad-hoc KitKat days to take a step back and spend it however you like. Hit the beach, spend time with your family, pick up that hobby you’ve been meaning to try, or anything in between
- **Health is wealth.** We believe that everyone has the right to mental wellness and support. So every Dovetailer has access to Uprise (Employee Assistance Program) for themselves as well as their families.
