**The Role**
We are seeking a dynamic all-round communications professional with outstanding writing skills, expertise in external communications in financial services plus experience in digital communications, social media and internal communications. You will be comfortable drafting articles, media releases, scripts for video as well as engaging social media content, and will be comfortable developing strategic communications plans that bring stakeholders on the journey and drive outcomes.
**The Team**
Our Corporate Affairs team provides communication expertise to inform and engage APRA's stakeholders and enhance APRA's reputation. We're manage communications for media and other external audiences, employees, and through design-led digital and social media initiatives.
**What your typical day will look like**
This role is a 6-to-12-month contract with the possibility of permanent placement. You will be working in a team of 12 experienced professionals.
You will possess the ability to work independently to deliver strategic plans and high-quality output to deadline, as well as contributing to a strong team culture based on respect, collaboration, support and celebration.
**Your role includes**:
- The provision of strategic communications advice to internal stakeholders
- For developing outcome-focused, measurable communication plans considering both internal and external audiences
- Being ‘hands on’ in developing key content, including articles, media releases, corporate content, web content and social media
- Assisting the Corporate Affairs team with media management and media monitoring and publishing as required.
**About you**
You will come from a background in financial services or business journalism. You can conduct research and understand technical matters across banking, insurance and/or superannuation, and communicate to industry and the public.
