Public Relations & Corporate Affairs (Marketing & Communications)

As part of the Public Affairs team of this large corporate you will work with and support the wider team to build and grow strong relationships with a broad range of government stakeholders.

The role is dedicated to navigating complex federal, state and local government issues, ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic and social objectives.

Some of the key tasks you will be responsible for include -

Working with the Public Affairs team to maintain strong, trusted relationships with key Ministerial offices at the Federal and State government level

Building relationships with key government Departments and agencies to advance the organisations's strategic and operational goals.

Assisting and analysing broad trends and contextual changes in the political landscape, including how these changes may impact the business.

Working with various internal stakeholders across various external issues that affect the company

Writing briefing notes for the management team as well as assisting with key governmental submissions

To be successful in this role you will need the following -

Experience developing relationships with government and private sector decision makers

Proven ability to build and execute influence campaigns across a wide range of stakeholder groups

Outstanding writing, presentation and influencing skills

A Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Political Science, Communications, Public Policy or a related field

A track record of working collaboratively in an matrix team environment across multiple projects

To be confident and motivated self-starter with a flexible and agile approach

5 +years' experience working in public affairs, government relations, a political office or a related role
