**State Government** client is seeking multiple
**Procurement Officers** to join their
**Brisbane** team at the
** AO5 and AO6 **levels.

**ABOUT THE JOB**
As a Procurement Officer you will be part of the Procurement Services Group that provides a centralised Procurement Function to the department across either
**General Goods and Services (GGS)** and/or
**Information and Communications Technology (ICT).**

**AO5 Duties (Procurement Officer)**
- Manage medium procurement activities in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk, probity, and transparency requirements are addressed.
- Monitor and advise on financial, contract management and procurement systems compliance, in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Negotiate and consult with internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement and contract related issues to identify specific business needs and to facilitate compliance within the required timeframes.
- Actively participate in an effective and professional procurement team, including drafting and negotiating Contracts.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal clients, vendors, and staff to ensure procurement services are responsive to current and future needs.

**AO6 Duties (Senior Procurement Officer)**
- Manage strategic procurement projects in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk, probity, and transparency requirements are addressed.
- Deliver high quality procurement advice and services covering procurement planning activities, sourcing documentation development, release and evaluation processes, contract negotiation, contract management including sound Category Management functions and administration activities.
- Monitor and advise on financial, contract management and procurement systems compliance, in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Exercise a Procurement Delegation for sourcing activities validating that the procurement process undertaken has been in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Administer contracts in collaboration with Contract Managers in accordance with the principles of the Queensland Government Contract Management Framework.
- Negotiate and consult with internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement and contract related issues to identify specific business needs and to facilitate compliance within the required timeframes.

**THE SUCCESFUL CANDIDATE(S) WILL HAVE**:

- Prior experience in a similar role.
- Experience in SAP.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Methodology.
- Knowledge of Queensland Information Technology Contracting (QITC) Framework.
- Queensland Government Procurement Certification (or equivalent).
