ABOUT THE CLIENT AND ROLE
Our client is a Queensland Government agency based in Brisbane City. They are currently seeking an experienced

Procurement Officer (AO5) and an experienced

Senior Procurement Officer (AO6) to join the Procurement team.

PROCUREMENT OFFICER (AO5) ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage procurement activities in collaboration with stakeholders and ensure that risk and transparency requirements are addressed
  • Monitor and advise financial and procurement systems compliance, in accordance with Government policies and procedures
  • Negotiate and consult with stakeholders regarding procurement and contract issues to identify specific business needs within required timeframes
  • Actively participate in drafting and negotiating contracts
- $57.14 per hour + super

  • 6 month contract with possible extension through June 2024

SENIOR PROCUREMENT OFFICER (AO6) ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage procurement activities in collaboration with stakeholders and ensure that risk and transparency requirements are addressed
  • Deliver procurement advice and services covering procurement planning activities, release and evaluation process and contract management including Category Management functions
  • Monitor and advise financial and procurement systems compliance, in accordance with Government policies and procedures
  • Exercise a procurement delegation for sourcing activities validating that processes are in accordance with Government policies and procedures
  • Administer contracts in collaboration with Contract Managers in accordance with Contract Management Framework
  • Negotiate and consult with stakeholders regarding procurement and contract issues to identify specific business needs within required timeframes
- $65.68 per hour + super

  • 6 month contract with possible extension through June 2024

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience with Queensland Government endtoend procurement is necessary
  • Previous experience with QITC framework is highly desirable
  • Previous Government Sourcing experience is highly desirable
  • Queensland Government Level 2 or Level 3 Procurement Certificate or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Experience in SAP and/or knowledge of supply chain methodology is highly desirable
