About the Roles
As Procurement Officer you will be part of the Procurement Services Group that provides a centralised Procurement Function.

AO4

  • Manage routine procurement projects in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk, probity, and transparency requirements are addressed.
  • Administer routine contracts in collaboration with Contract Managers in accordance with the principles of the Queensland Government Contract Management Framework.
  • Develop and maintain positive and constructive relationships with internal clients, vendors, and staff to ensure procurement services are responsive to current and future needs.
  • Conduct operations within SAP Master Data, Vendor Maintenance, creation of the purchase order creation/amendment process (POCA) and general SAP duties as required.
  • Actively participate in an effective and professional procurement team.
  • Assist the procurement team by undertaking additional tasks as directed by the Supervisor/Manager and or Director.

AO5

  • Manage medium procurement activities in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk, probity, and transparency requirements are addressed.
  • Monitor and advise on financial, contract management and procurement systems compliance, in accordance with the departments policies and procedures and the State Procurement Policy.
  • Negotiate and consult with internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement and contract related issues to identify specific business needs and to facilitate compliance within the required timeframes.
  • Actively participate in an effective and professional procurement team, including drafting and negotiating Contracts.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal clients, vendors, and staff to ensure procurement services are responsive to current and future needs.

AO6

  • Manage strategic procurement projects in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk, probity, and transparency requirements are addressed.
  • Deliver high quality procurement advice and services covering procurement planning activities, sourcing documentation development, release and evaluation processes, contract negotiation, contract management including sound ICT Category Management functions and administration activities.
  • Monitor and advise on financial, contract management and procurement systems compliance, in accordance with the departments policies and procedures and the State Procurement Policy.
  • Exercise a Procurement Delegation for sourcing activities validating that the procurement process undertaken has been in accordance with the departments policies and procedures and the Queensland State Procurement Policy.
  • Administer contracts in collaboration with Contract Managers in accordance with the principles of the Queensland Government Contract Management Framework.
  • Negotiate and consult with internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement and contract related issues to identify specific business needs and to facilitate compliance within the required timeframes.

Role fit

  • Demonstrated experience working within a similar role.
  • Highly desirable Queensland Government Level 1, 2 or 3 Procurement Certification or equivalent.
  • Experience in SAP, Knowledge of Supply Chain Methodology and Queensland Information Technology Contracting Framework would be highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the Queensland Information Technology Contracting Framework.
  • Experience in SAP.

The Benefits
- $54.34 to $76.53 per hour + Super (PAYG)
