**The Opportunity**

We are seeking a talented Program Manager to lead the **Wakulda**Program within our Joint Systems Division. The role is based in **Newcastle**.

As an experienced program manager you will be responsible for leading and managing the Spiral Sustainment Program for the Wakulda Mission System. You will Represent Boeing to the customer along with other members of the Wakulda leadership team in regular program and Air Battlespace Management (ABM) Enterprise's Joint Management Framework. The Wakulda Program Manager role is a key member of the Joint Systems Division leadership team that also demonstrates and models Boeing values and behaviours.

The Wakulda System is a world-leading Air Defence C2 System. It is a network-centric ground-based air surveillance and control system, which supports C4ISR capabilities to conduct surveillance and air battlespace management missions. Boeing is responsible for delivering spiral upgrades over the next five years in a fast paced, agile and responsive development and sustainment environment, while maximizing mission availability for the Australian Defence Force. **Responsibilities**
- Represent Boeing Defence Australia as a key partner in the ABMS Enterprise and as a member of the Joint Management Team.
- Establish and Lead the Program's strategic direction, develop and foster a strong culture focused on the SAFe framework and principles.
- Lead Program improvement efforts, working with customer, capability and program stakeholders.
- Demonstrate innovative and strategic thinking to ensure both the program and wider business deliver successful outcomes for the customer
- Drive the performance and execution of program management disciplines, communication and engagement with our primary customers
- Monitor project performance to ensure the optimal delivery and achievement of program goals in support of Wakulda's Vision
- Profit and Loss responsibilities for the program and achievement of Long Range Business Plan commitments
- Ensure conformance to Boeing Defence Australia's values and policies, especially in relation to workplace safety, equity and diversity and environmental management
- Effectively identify and meet customer's requirements, build productive relationships and take responsibility for customer satisfaction
- Lead a team of passionate multi-disciplined professionals

**Experience/Qualifications**
- Extensive experience in managing complex projects to successful and timely completion.
- Experience leading or working within a program of works and Project Management Office
- Experience in the Scaled Agile Framework and operating model is essential.
- Demonstrated proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted industry project management standards.
- Formal tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Business or Management field
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to exert influence at multiple organizational levels.
- High level communication and negotiation skills with a strong focus on building successful relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Drive and passion to grow capability, mentor and coach other PM professionals
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen and hold, or have ability to obtain, an Australian Defence security clearance to Negative Vetting 2 level.
