BAE Systems Australia provides significant support to the global F-35 program which is the largest and most advanced military aircraft program in the world. In Australia, BAE Systems has brought our joint military aircraft expertise to the development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of the F-35.

Being part of a workplace In terms of more specific responsibilities, you will:

- Plan, organise, lead and control the delivery of reoccurring Logistics outputs to the required standard, as contracted. These services include operational maintenance and supply services in support of the F-35 Program
- Be responsible for day to day management of team including coordinating and overseeing work activities, facilitate running of meetings, ensuring appropriate training is provided and the use of work instructions and procedures
- Ownership of applicable documents, processes and procedures including but not limited to developing, maintaining and updating
- Plan and implement the logistics requirements in line with project deliverables, cost and budget targets, and as directed by Project Manager
- Provide Logistical support in bids and submissions ensuring compliance to all regulations
- Be responsible for budgets and cost targets for area of responsibility, including the meeting and monitoring of those budgets
- Provide reports on area of responsibilities activities, including progress against plans, cost performance reporting, and to identify potential areas for increased efficiencies
- Manage the continuous improvement culture with employees and managers across the Project
- Foster a positive and productive environment in the area of responsibility, through effective leadership of all team members
- Improve the Logistics team capability, by identifying and developing team members to take up future leadership roles

**As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you will have**:

- Demonstrated supply chain and logistics skills and expertise
- Supply chain qualifications and/or experience strongly sort
- A Defence background (this would be advantageous)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance of “Negative Vetting 1”
- The ability to form strong working relationships in a major program environment, with customer, external and internal stakeholders
- Experience coaching, upskilling and managing a team
- The ability to manage and prioritise your own activities to meet program schedules
- Proven problem solving and analytical skills

A Defence security clearance is required for these roles. Applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
