**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
The Division of Nursing & Midwifery and Patient Support Services (NMPSS) plays a key role in developing a collaborative and strategic approach to nursing & midwifery and patient support services for CHS.

The Division includes Nursing Support Services (including the E-Rostering Unit, the Nursing and Midwifery Resource Office, Tissue Viability Unit, Infection Prevention and Control Unit, Occupational Medicine Unit); and Patient Support Services (including Ward’s persons, Hospital Assistants, Ward Clerks, the Central Equipment and Courier Service ). In addition, the Division provides high quality strategic leadership and direction to the nursing & midwifery and patient support services workforce.

**DUTIES**:
Under limited direction of the NMWSRU CNC you will:

- Provide support to ensure the efficient management and operation of the Nursing and Midwifery Workforce Strategy and Recruitment Unit.
- Manage correspondences that include the drafting, disseminating and filing of various documents including performance report, audits, minutes of meetings.
- Liaise with a wide range of stakeholders using well developed communications skills.
- Provide administrative support to meetings and other forums as required. Provide accurate data entry and maintain, distribute, and secure confidential electronic data.
- Prepare draft correspondence, including general correspondence as necessary.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the organisation.

**Position Requirements/Qualifications**:
Mandatory

CHS is leading the drive to digitally transform health service delivery in Australia through the implementation of a territory wide Digital Health Record. Computer literacy skills are required which are relevant to this role as you will be responsible for completing required documentation and becoming a proficient user of the Digital Health Record and/or other Information Technology systems; once proficient, you will need to remain current with changes, updates and contingencies.

Desirable

Have an understanding of how the National Standards and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) indicators align with this role.

Fulfil the responsibilities of this role as detailed in the CHS Exceptional Care Framework, Clinical Governance Framework, Partnering With Consumers Framework and all other related frameworks.
- Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.

**Note**: This is a temporary position available for six months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

**WHAT YOU REQUIRE**:
These are the key selection criteria for how you will be assessed in conjunction with your curriculum vitae and experience:

- Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support at the Director level, including high level oral and written communications and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in providing high level organisational and office management including the ability to exercise initiative, prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and be an effective team member in a team environment.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and oral communication skills, including the ability to liaise, consult and negotiate with stakeholders and coordinate correspondence.
- Demonstrated experience in managing information technology systems and data integrity to deliver an efficient patient/customer orientated service delivery focus.
- Demonstrates understanding of, and adherence to, safety and quality standards, work, health and safety (WH&S) and the positive patient experience. Displays behaviour consistent with CHS’s values of reliable, progressive, respectful and kind.
