**How will I help?**
The Head of Property and Security Strategy is responsible for developing and supporting the execution of the Group’s retail and corporate property portfolio and security strategy. The role will lead the development of property and security transformation initiatives, the development of supporting business cases and tracking of benefits delivered. This role is responsible for understanding Westpac business strategies to ensure future workplace and security needs of the Group are delivered to ensure the protection of staff, assets and operations, and achieve optimal business and financial performance. Reporting to the Chief Property & Security Officer, your objective is to create a forward-thinking Property & Security strategy that supports the Group’s long-term workplace, retail distribution and security goals.
As the leader of the broader Property and Security Strategy team, you will hold overarching responsibility for developing and supporting the execution of the Group’s Corporate Workplace strategies, developing the Consumer Business retail branch delivery strategy (leasing, project delivery and facilities management), and reporting and data analytic to demonstrate the performance of the Group’s corporate and retail portfolios.
In this role you will take responsibility for:
- Leading the development of comprehensive property and security strategies aligned with the Group’s business objectives.
- Developing business cases and obtain appropriate funding to ensure the delivery of these strategies.
- Developing reports and insights to track benefits of property and security transformation initiatives and the performance of property and security services, including those delivered by outsourced providers.
- Analysing and modelling future workspace requirements across corporate locations and develop flexible and innovative workspace solutions to meet evolving business needs.
- Leading and develop the Property & Security strategy team.

**What do I need?**
You will have substantial experience (over 10 years) leading property and/or security at a progressive corporate, preferably in financial services. You have a proven track record of developing and leading large-scale property and security transformation projects and are passionate about transformation. You hold a tertiary qualification in finance, project management or a related discipline. With exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, you will hold demonstrable experience in the development and delivery of a Group retail and corporate property portfolio strategy. You will have exceptional stakeholder management skills and experience delivering strategic property and security plans that support an organisation’s long-term goals. You’re commercially minded and dedicated to delivering flexible, efficient workspace solutions that meet current and future business needs. With a track record of building skilled and motivated property strategy teams and perform best in an environment fostering innovative thinking.
