**Position Overview**:
The Floor Supervisor serves as a key leader in managing nursing and personal care assistant staff within our NDIS-supported independent living apartments. Reporting to both the Clinical Services Manager and Residential Services Manager, this role is essential for ensuring the delivery of person-centred care and support services to participants with disabilities.

Floor Supervisors work across various shifts, including day, afternoon, night shifts, and weekends as rostered, to ensure round-the-clock coverage and support.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Staff Management:

- Supervise and mentor nursing and personal care assistant staff, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality care services.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, recognizing staff strengths and addressing areas for improvement through coaching and training.
- Participant Care Coordination:

- Collaborate closely with the clinical and Residential services teams to coordinate care plans and support services tailored to meet the unique needs and preferences of participants with disabilities.
- Monitor participant well-being and ensure care plans are implemented effectively, making adjustments as needed to promote independence and quality of life.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:

- Ensure compliance with NDIS guidelines, regulations, and quality standards in all aspects of care delivery, documentation, and facility operations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess adherence to care plans, documentation accuracy, and safety protocols.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance participant outcomes and satisfaction.
- Staff Training and Development:

- Facilitate ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff members, focusing on disability-specific care techniques, communication strategies, and cultural competence.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation to enhance staff skills and knowledge in supporting participants with disabilities.
- Communication and Reporting:

- Maintain open and transparent communication channels with management, staff members, participants, and their support networks to ensure alignment on care goals and objectives.
- Document participant progress, interventions, and incidents accurately and comprehensively, adhering to NDIS reporting requirements and organizational policies.
- Prepare reports on staffing levels, participant care outcomes, and compliance metrics for review by management and regulatory bodies.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Diploma or degree in disability services, nursing, social work, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in disability support services or a healthcare setting, with demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
- Strong understanding of NDIS principles, person-centred approaches, and disability rights.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing participant needs.

The Floor Supervisor plays a vital role in upholding the principles of the NDIS by ensuring the provision of quality care and support services to participants with disabilities. With a focus on staff management, care coordination, compliance, and continuous improvement, Floor Supervisors contribute to the overall success and well-being of participants within our NDIS-supported independent living facility.
