Choosing a career path as an undergraduate can be challenging. While you may have an interest in a particular area, you sometimes don’t know which path to follow until you’ve had some practical work experience. In our paid internship programme, you will be placed in a technical field of your choice (where possible) for approximately three months to gain experience in that field and help you decide if it is right for you.

Aurecon’s internship programme coincides with the university summer break. At the end of the experience, we give our internship students structured feedback on their performance to assist in their professional development.

How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?

As an Employee Experience Intern focusing on strategy and employee insights, you will play a vital role in supporting the overall employee experience initiatives within Aurecon. This internship provides you with an opportunity to gain practical experience in program management, strategic planning, and employee analytics. You will work closely with the Employee Experience team to assist in implementing programs and initiatives that align with Aurecon’s People strategy and enhance employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:
People Strategy Support: Assist the Strategy and Insights team in the development and execution of People strategies and initiatives.

Employee Insights and Data Analysis: Support the collection and analysis of employee data through surveys, focus groups, and other feedback mechanisms.

Project Management: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of People team projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Help create project plans, track milestones, and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

Onboarding and Orientation: Assist in the development and improvement of onboarding and orientation processes for new hires.

Employee Engagement Initiatives: Contribute to the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives, such as employee surveys, recognition programs, CSR volunteering and wellness initiatives.

What are we looking for from you?

Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Human Resources, Business, Organisational Psychology, Communications, Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation (BCII)) or recently graduated.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable working with data.

Demonstrated interest in employee engagement, organizational culture, or related fields.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
