In Everyday Banking (EDB) Portfolio, our key responsibilities include:
Helping customers to save with our savings accounts
Providing ways to pay through transaction accounts and credit cards
Enabling customers to borrow for large or small purchases or to manage cash flow, using credit cards or personal loans
Protecting what matters against the unexpected, with insurance and superannuation
Building main financial institution (MFI) relationships with our customers and driving customer engagement, which will also benefit home loans, small business, and the rest of the bank


As a critical member of the Everyday Banking Portfolio leadership team, you will ensure there is clear alignment of the EDB strategy to Divisional objectives and strategic priorities.

**The Strategy and Proposition Lead will be responsible for**:
Developing EDB strategy and innovate propositions and solutions to improve business performance and drive main financial institution growth
Creating financial business case scenarios to evaluate feasibility of product propositions
Optimising existing customer journeys and improving our customer’s experience to ensure our propositions remain relevant and competitive
Define the growth strategy (in partnership with the product and lifecycle management leads)
Identify, design and deliver key customer capability / proposition needs

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
Demonstrated experience or knowledge of deposit, cards and personal loans products
Proven expertise in managing and analysing P&L and identifying revenue growth and cost-efficiency opportunities
Proven commercial acumen, highly numerate and demonstrated data-driven decision making

**Customer focus**: defines and measure success through the eyes of the customer and banker, anticipates, understands and responds to evolving customer need

**Portfolio Economics**: Knowledge of portfolio levers and the ability to generate performance insights from behavioural data to identify and model growth opportunities.

**Data Interpretation**: Using data and reporting to draw insights to problem solve and/or inform business or customer decisions.
Data Analysis - Translating data into insights and using it to make better business decisions and to deliver customer/user centric solutions
Ability to develop and mentor the team as well as building a network of strong relationships across the bank.

Demonstrated experience working closely with senior stakeholders both internally and externally (boards and regulators)
Effective communicator, effectively resolve issues and remove barriers to success
Commercial acumen, experience working closely with group strategy, finance, operations, risk, finance and legal
Adept at fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment and leading, motivating and developing team members
Resilience and a fast-paced approach with a strong growth mindset
Leadership in agile ways of working, in complex, matrixed team structures
Knowledge of the Australia Retail product lines and broader business
Domain knowledge in supporting functions such as Technology, Operations, Branding, Communications, Records Management, Finance, Property, Procurement and Risk
