Principal Transition to Operations Officer

Digital Metro North (DMN) works collaboratively with clinical leads and end users across Metro North Health to deliver the Digital Metro North Strategy 2018-32. The strategy aims to ultimately deliver an integrated digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North by 2032. Over the coming years, significant capital works are being undertaken, including hospital construction and refurbishment and the implementation of the ieMR Advanced solution across all Metro North facilities. Achieving the aims of the strategy requires a dedicated team with the knowledge, determination, and skills to deliver quality results.
Key knowledge and experience
**The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following**:
- Proven experience in the management of a medium and large-scale IM/ICT project management environment, preferably in the health care industry.
- Proven experience in the management of a large scale service transition of new services to operational support.
- Experience in stakeholder relationship management to support effective business change, including the ability to initiate relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Exhibited ability to develop and manage business implementation planning taking into consideration IT multiple site deployments, data migration, training, engagement and any other business activities required to deliver successful projects.
- Demonstrated high level negotiation, consultation, facilitation (at a senior level) and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex project environment.
About the role
- This role reports directly to Manager Technical Assurance, Digital Services, Digital Metro North, while working directly with the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Director - ieMR Program and ieMR Program Technical Delivery Stream Lead.
- This role is full time with the standard hours of operation being 8:00am - 4:06pm, Monday to Friday and may incur overtime or extended hours beyond standard business hours at times such as project implementation, peak demand or around other issues that arise (per the Hospital and Health Services General Employees (Queensland Health) Award - State 2015 and the Queensland Public Health Sector Certified Agreement (No. 10) 2019).
