- $71,280 - $79,827 pro rata plus 17% superannuation

**About the position**

The Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre (OTARC) is looking for a part-time Data Officer to join its administrative team. Operating under the direction of the Research Operations Manager, the Data Officer will work within the data team to support the integrity of OTARC’s research data. The Data Officer will be responsible for auditing OTARC databases through error management and logic checks, digitising paper-based data, extracting, cleaning, and migrating data, and ensuring data is appropriately stored. This role will see the incumbent working with central University services such as the Human Research Ethics Committee, Information Services, and the Library, to ensure OTARC’s historic data is compliant with the University’s policies and procedures regarding confidentiality, storage and archiving. Working with the research data team and OTARC staff more broadly, this role will support improving and building robust data collection systems and processes.

**Skills and Experience**

To be considered for this position, you will have;
- High level proficiency in computer software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the use of the internet as a research tool.
- Experience working with datasets and/or databases.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written guidelines.
- Experience with REDCap or demonstrated experience with data management platforms in a research or health context.
- Demonstrated ability to write basic syntax in Excel or a statistics platform to aid data quality checks.
