Tweed Community & Allied Health are pursing Health Manager to work as part of the Integrated Prevention and Response to Violence, Abuse and Neglect (IPARVAN) service, to implement the NSW Health Aboriginal Wellbeing and Violence Prevention Strategy within the Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD). Better health outcomes and access for Aboriginal people and Communities are to be achieved through a supportive, healing and holistic approach. Work will be underpinned by a culturally sensitive strategy and utilising trauma informed principles. Working in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and agencies, promoting and facilitating education in responding to Aboriginal family violence, engaging with local Aboriginal families and communities to reduce the incidence of family violence and facilitating groups to address healing through cultural resilience.

Applicants for this position must be of Aboriginal descent through parentage, identify as being Aboriginal and be accepted in the community as such. All applicants must supply either a letter of Aboriginality signed under the common seal from a recognised incorporated Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community organisation such as Land Council or Elders group, Aboriginal Medical Service or a letter on letterhead from a Local Aboriginal Land Council demonstrating membership of the Council. An applicant's race is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under Section 14(d) of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1997(NSW).

**_If you have/are:_**
- Holds or willingness to complete the Education Centre Against Violence (ECAV) core training for Aboriginal Family Wellbeing & Violence Prevention Workers.
- Knowledge and understanding of the dynamics and impacts of intergenerational trauma, family violence, sexual assault and child abuse in relation to Aboriginal families and an understanding of relevant policy, strategy and legislation, including relevant NSW child protection and domestic violence policies, which guide service response to Aboriginal clients and communities.
- Ability to organise workshops, community forums and education sessions for training and community development events.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to support and consult with Aboriginal clients, families and communities, and build and maintain strong networks with other services and health professionals.
