**About the branch**
Workforce Capability and Assurance provides a key enabling function, supporting the development of agency capability and providing the agency with the assurance that it continues to meet its legislative obligations. The branch is responsible for the delivery of all human resource and people strategies, as well as protecting the agency, its people and its capabilities through an integrated protective security and integrity function. Workforce Capability and Assurance supports employee wellbeing, as well as provides critical support to intelligence operations by oversighting the agency’s use of certain powers, ensuring legislative compliance and contributing to operational outcomes.

**About the roles**
As a member of a small team, the Employee Relations and Wellbeing HR Advisor will assist in the delivery of functions relating to WHS, performance and workplace relations for the ACIC.

Work Health and Safety
WHS, proactive early intervention and rehabilitation case management to injured or ill employees, implementation and management of WHS and wellbeing initiatives to support our employees and assist in the management of the team.

Workplace Relations and Performance
Contribute to enterprise bargaining and employment policy. Assist with complex industrial and workplace policy queries, performance and employment strategy and rewards and recognition program. Support the agency, supervisors and employees on workplace relations and performance case management. SES reporting and management of SES workplace terms and conditions.

Workplace Relations and Performance
- Has experience in the development of employment policy and/or performance strategy, administration of workplace committees and drafting and implementing of workplace arrangements.
- Demonstrates skills and experience in performance and/or workplace relations case management or enterprise bargaining.
- Displays sound negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to positively contribute to strategic thinking, develop networks, commit to continuous improvement process, recognise opportunities and provide solutions.

Work Health and Safety
- Is able to undertake WHS activities, deliver workplace wellbeing initiatives and manage compensable and non-compensable cases.
- Demonstrates knowledge of, and is able to interpret the WHS Act 2011 and SRC Act 1988 and ensure compliance with this legislation.
- Can communicate with influence through:

- clear written and oral communication skills
- effective liaison and listening skills; and
- understanding and recognising the needs of others.
- Has experience in the WHS field (i.e. proactive early intervention and rehabilitation case management, implementation and management of WHS and wellbeing initiatives).

**Essential qualifications**
- Demonstrated skills and experience in the fields of work health and safety, performance or workplace relations.

**Eligibility**
- Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the APS, unless the agency head has agreed otherwise, in writing. For further information, contact the Recruitment Team.
