The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of the Parliament of NSW by providing logístical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales. Parliament House is situated close to public transport in the heart of Macquarie Street, next to the State Library and Sydney’s Botanic Gardens.

**About the position**

The Manager, Security Risk Strategy and Compliance is responsible for the management of physical security risk across the Parliamentary Precinct and the State Electorate Offices. The role leads strategy, compliance and resilience of our security, crisis and recovery planning arrangements.

The role will provide advice on the development and implementation of measures to mitigate increasing threat environments, develop and maintain emergency procedures, support operational objectives, and develop and implement a robust security risk management framework, including related security policies, assessment tools and Standard Operating Procedures ('SOP'). The Role will also provide operational support to major events.
