Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Contracts and Commercial Manager to join their Renewable Generation team. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of renewable energy projects while ensuring effective contract management and commercial strategy implementation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the development and implementation of contract management strategies to optimise project performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Review and analyse contract terms and conditions, identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement to protect the company's interests.
- Oversee the negotiation process for contract modifications, extensions, and disputes, ensuring favourable outcomes and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to review and draft contractual agreements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with company policies and legal standards.
- Monitor contract performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial targets, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks and maximise profitability.
- Coordinate with project development teams to assess commercial viability and feasibility of new opportunities, providing input on pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting long-term partnerships.
- Conduct regular contract audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Prepare and present reports and analyses to senior management, providing insights into contract performance, financial implications, and potential opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee the administration of insurance policies, performance bonds, and other financial instruments related to project contracts, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Manage the documentation and filing of all contract-related correspondence, amendments, and other relevant information, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes affecting renewable energy projects, advising stakeholders on potential impacts and opportunities.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and workshops to identify process improvements and best practices for contract management and commercial operations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the Contracts and Commercial team, promoting professional development and collaboration across the organisation.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of 8+ years in contract management, commercial negotiation, and project management, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy project development, construction, and operations, including relevant contracts (e.g., EPC, O&M, PPA).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex contractual and financial data, identify key issues, and develop strategic solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and facilitate collaboration across diverse teams and cultures.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a proactive and results-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
