**About this Role**

We currently have a terrific opportunity for a Team Leader to become part of our Sporting Reserves Team.

In this role you will lead the Sporting Reserve Maintenance Team to:

- Perform a range of asset and infrastructure maintenance activities throughout the Municipality which support strategies identified within the Latrobe City Council Plan.
- Deliver key Sports Turf maintenance practices across all Latrobe City Sporting Reserves. Ensuring the full utilisation of a variety of Sports Turf Maintenance plant and equipment such as verti-drain, Amazone, chemical applicators and turf wicket preparation equipment.
- Aid in the preparation of playing surfaces for delivery of local, regional and elite sporting events such as local Cricket and AFL finals series, WBBL & BBL, AFLW & AFL and the upcoming Commonwealth Games.
- Ensure that customer requests/complaints are addressed in a timely and effective manner.

**About You**

In this role, you will have the chance to contribute to the presentation, livability, and safety of our community through the delivery of sports turf maintenance. Your expertise will see you confidently provide advice and to serve your community to the best of your ability.

You will have:

- A tertiary qualification in Horticulture (Turf), Sports Turf Management or a related area, and/or extensive experience in these areas of operations.
- Detailed knowledge of the playing surface requirements of each respective sport, produce quality ground maintenance presentation.
- Ability to provide turf management training.
- Current driver’s license with minimum “Medium Rigid” endorsement.
- Current industry white card.
- Previous professional experience in the maintenance and preparation of turf cricket wickets (desirable).
- Current Traffic Control and Worksite Management Certificate (desirable).
- Certificate in Workplace Supervision or Leadership (desirable).
