**About the Role**
This position will coordinate staff in the delivery of day-to-day Aquatic operations, ensuring a clean, safe and friendly environment. This position is responsible for the planning and implementation of tasks in relation to aquatic activities, plant maintenance, water quality and aquatic programs.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity based at the City’s Splashdown Leisure Centre.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee day to day operations of the centre’s Aquatic environment, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, policies and procedures
- Development, coordination and continuous evaluation of operational systems, processes and programs.
- Provide leadership to the Lifeguard & Duty Manager team supporting recruitment, induction and ongoing training and development.
- Coordinate rostering, Lifeguard deployment and provide administrative and technical support to Leisure Services staff with tasks relating to plant, maintenance and operational activities.
- Deliver exceptional hands on customer service as an integral part of our Duty Manager team.
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will hold a tertiary qualification relevant to recreation program management or several years’ experience with aquatic programs or a related field. You will have experience leading teams and have the ability to work with a diverse range of people.
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in the planning, implementation, reporting and evaluation of innovative procedures
- Demonstrated skills and experience in team development, management and leadership
- Excellent knowledge of pool plant operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build relationships with staff and client groups
- Working with Children Check, Level 2 First Aid Certificate, Pool Lifeguard Award, Aquatic Technical Operator Award
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends
