What you’ll contribute to

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Specialist, Fixed Costs to join our Finance & Procurement Division in a Max Term role for 12 months.

The Finance and Procurement Division is responsible for providing the business with corporate support with respect to all finance and Procurement activities in order to enable TMCA to execute its strategy and achieve its objectives.

The Finance Specialist, Fixed Costs is primarily responsible for assisting in the analysis and preparation of fixed costs financial data to enable accurate budgeting, forecasting, financial controls and reporting of actual profitability and G&A (General and Administration) cost targets, labour cost targets and Aftersales Profitability targets in order to ensure optimisation of TMCA’s fixed costs and Parts profitability, in turn contributing to TMCA’s overall profitability, whilst protecting TMCA from exposure to risk and ensuring that Toyota’s legal and compliance obligations are met.

This role is based in Port Melbourne with flexible work arrangements on offer.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Implement agreed Fixed Costs processes and procedures consistent with set policies in order to achieve Fixed Costs objectives.

  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of processes and procedures for Fixed Costs to support the strategy of the Fixed Costs & Inventory by providing operational business support to the team and broader business.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial data to enable accurate and timely budgeting, forecasting, financial controls and reporting of actual achieved fixed costs spend versus targets in line with all regulations, policies and SOX requirements.

  • Act as the key Fixed Costs contact for stakeholders across the business in relation to G&A, labour fixed costs and Aftersales operational profitability support. Resolve any queries and issues, and escalate matters to minimise risk.

  • Maintain reporting systems in order to provide the business with accurate and timely information to support planning, budgeting and forecasting activities. Assist in the gathering, summary, analysis and reporting of information. Prepare and distribute reports, technical information and presentations in order to inform sound decision making

Your attributes – If you’ve got one or more, we’d love to hear from you

  • Degree or Diploma qualification in Accountancy or related discipline.

  • 2+ years’ accumulative experience.

  • Experience in finance and profitability forecasting with SAP knowledge (essential).

  • Strong understanding of SOX audit requirements including control & risk analysis.

  • Strong understanding of the business and its commercial drivers.
