**About the role**:Our client has a unique opportunity for a Data and Information Management to join the Record & Information Management Unit on a temporary basis. This opportunity would be perfectly suited for an aspiring Leader to acquire valuable leadership experience as well as exposure to government systems and infrastructure.

**Duties**:

- Ensure records are processed and managed in accordance with policies, procedures and PROV and confidentiality requirements.
- Ensure the successful maintenance, cleansing and monitoring of an accurate Name and Address register.
- Provide training and support to new staff members on NAR.
- Audit physical and electronic records to ensure compliance with Council digitisation plan and Information Management Policy.
- Undertake record capture, registration, classification, storage/handling, tracking and disposal creation and capture activities within Council’s electronic document management system (EDRMS).
- Undertake the management of Council records with an additional focus on the management of secure, high value, client and / or confidential records.
- Create accessions, boxes and folders for the management of both electronic and hardcopy records as required.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Degree or Diploma in administration, information management or relevant field, with some experience or lesser formal qualifications and demonstratable relevant experience.
- Proven experience in records management and public recordkeeping.
- Experience working with the Civica Authority Name and Address Register (NAR), or a similar system NAR.
- Experience training staff in Information Management and NAR practices and the Civica Authority NAR.
- Experience working with the Civica Authority NAR or a NAR
- Effective data entry skills to enable the accurate entry and retrieval of information.
- Good working knowledge of the Privacy and Data Protection Act and how it applied to the management of information.
- Intermediate level of skill in the Microsoft Office suite of programs including word and excel.
- Intermediate use of RM8/TRIM/CM9.
