The Department of Customer Service (DCS) was established after the March 2019 state election. We are a central agency of government, comprised of agencies and business units that deliver regulatory and other services to the people of NSW and across the NSW Government. We are committed to championing the interests and perspectives of NSW residents to deliver better customer service outcomes.

The Media Unit is responsible for the strategic direction of media relations and reputation management for DCS and its agencies including NSW Fair Trading, SafeWork NSW and Service NSW. The team works closely with social media and content production teams to drive customer focused information about the deliverables of the department.

As the Assistant Media Advisor, you will help the media directorate to develop, coordinate and deliver media responses and story ideas which support DCS. You will be passionate about building relationships to ensure the development of proactive and reactive content.

**You will be responsible to**:

- Draft and prepare concise, accurate media material for both proactive milestone opportunities and enquiry responses.
- Perform administrative tasks to support efficiencies for the team.
- Maintain databases, produce reports, undertake basic research and analysis as required.
- Support the Media Director and Media Managers to complete reporting.
- Ensure distribution lists are up to date to deliver reports and communication to the right contacts.
