We currently have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and energetic Finance professional to join our team as a Project Analyst / Project Accountant.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with Project Finance experience within an EPMO (Enterprise Project Management Office) environment who is looking to increase their skill set and advance their career with a large organisation.

This role will be working within the Finance business unit supporting PMs and the EPMO through project reporting, governance and financial management processes.

The core aim of the role is to facilitate and coordinate month end finance processes and communicate, co-ordinate and control EPMO activities across the organisation. This role will also support with budgeting and forecasting of projects, evaluation of business cases and other financial analysis related to projects.

- Project cost control including staff administration on our timesheet system, timesheet tracking of payroll and contractors, weekly and monthly timesheet discrepancy reports, labour analysis to help Business Units understand progress against Salary Cap targets and liaising between PM community and finance for Month end Processes
- Project Governance Investigations and activities including project investigations, monitoring spend & forecast against approvals. Investigating and resolving any data enquiries/discrepancies and managing the Investment Committee (IC) submissions process with a focus on quality assurance and coaching various stakeholders on IC processes.
- PM reporting to EPMO - Financial Reporting across Project Portfolios, preparing commentary on actual vs forecast, providing financial analysis and insight across financial results and various other ad-hoc Project reporting.
- Monitor and update, communicate, and act upon EPMO processes.
- Provide EPMO control of project data, including: Administration of PPM/ Project Master Data integrity. (Smartsheets & Resource Management) and maintaining EPMO documentation to ensure compliance.
- Budgeting and forecasting - Support the annual and bi-annual project budgeting and forecasting process
- Business case preparation - Support the product managers and project managers in preparing and reviewing business cases

**Qualifications**:

The experience and qualifications you’ll need to be successful_**
- Financial accounting and/or project accounting experience, particularly accruals and project forecasting, variance analysis
- Experience working with project life cycle, project documentation standards and methodologies.
- Sound analysis and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing stakeholders at a senior level.
- Excellent time management skills, based on a combination of managing day to day items and planning cost control schedule
- Strong interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team player
- Ability to work at fast pace when required
- Excellent computer skills, experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Relevant tertiary degree required. CA/CPA qualified or progressing towards an accounting qualification is preferred.
