**The opportunity**:
The GFG Foundation Student Programme is an initiative that engages local school students in STEM inquiry projects and life skills, with connections to industry. It gives young people an insight into industry via real-world experiences and prepares them to meet future challenges. The programme is a collaboration between GFG Foundation, CSIRO, and King’s Trust Australia.
As the Team Leader, you will lead the implementation of the GFG Foundation Student Programme across all markets.
You will work closely with a small group of education specialists that are regionally dispersed to ensure that the programme is delivered in accordance with the contractual agreement on time and in budget.
You will be required to work closely with programme stakeholders and report to the program manager.
The role requires strong independence and management of workload, and the flexibility to prioritise tasks.
Please note, interstate travel may be required.
**Your duties will include**:
- Providing project management and coordination for the GFG Foundation Student Programme.
- Utilising expertise to build and maintain strong trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Supporting the team to establish, maintain and foster ongoing and culturally respectful relationships with schools, families, communities, and other stakeholders.
- Being responsible for strategic and operational planning, budget management, risk identification and management, implementation of processes, ensuring all contractual KPIs are met.
- Managing and providing leadership to a small team of education specialists.
- Developing and monitoring workplans, ensuring KPI’s are met on time and in budget, allocating and monitoring resources, managing staff performance and career development.
- Working with program team, Business Operations Support Officer, and Impact and Evaluation team to ensure a continuous improvement approach and enhanced delivery of project outcomes.
- Preparing written reports in accordance with contractual requirements (1 per calendar year) and providing timely responses to internal and external requests for information.
- Ensuring accurate record keeping, e.g., Content Manager and program tracking to inform reports.
- Ensuring all staff, volunteers and affiliates comply with child safety requirements and have the required Working With Children Checks in accordance with CSIRO’s Child Safe Policy.
- Demonstrating appropriate behaviours at all times when working with children and diverse groups.

**Salary**:AU$110,038 - AU$119,080 plus up to 15.4% superannuation

**To be considered you will need**:
Essential
- Relevant bachelor’s degree/diploma or equivalent relevant work experience in STEM Education, Science Communication, Project Management.
- Highly effective program management skills in overseeing and coordinating complex and multifaceted projects inclusive of strategic planning and execution, risk identification and management, problem solving, effective team and budget management.
- Demonstrated experience developing creative STEM education programs based on a thorough understanding of the Australian curriculum and issues facing school STEM education.
- Highly-developed interpersonal skills including experience with negotiation and representation, and proven ability to establish and maintain strong and productive relationships and networks with colleagues, leaders and key stakeholders both internal and external.
- Demonstrated experience in building a high performing team, providing coaching and development opportunities across the team and wider education function that delivers high standards in service delivery. Ability to obtain and provide evidence that they hold a valid paid/employee (not volunteer) Working with Children/ Vulnerable People Check prior to confirmation of appointment.Desirable
