**Position summary**

Join a dynamic team as a Site Health & Safety Superintendent, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety across a major construction project. In this leadership position, you will manage a dedicated HSE site team, including Senior HS Advisors, Environmental Specialists, and a Quality Advisor, while reporting directly to the Construction Manager.

**About the role**
- Lead and manage the HSE site team, including Senior HS Advisors, Environmental Advisors, and Quality Advisor, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
- Report directly to the Construction Manager, providing updates on health, safety, and environmental performance and compliance.
- Develop and implement HSE strategies and initiatives to ensure compliance with Australian Standards, Codes of Practice, and legislation.
- Oversee the safety management of construction activities, including HV and LV road construction, surface water management, and utilities relocation.
- Ensure the effective management of non-process infrastructure facilities, including power supply and water distribution systems.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure HSE considerations are integrated into all stages of project planning and execution.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs to enhance team competency and awareness.
- Analyse HSE performance data to identify trends and implement measures to improve safety outcomes.
- A Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline.
- 8-10 years of experience in construction and/or operational plant environments.
- Proven experience in a HSE leadership role within a project environment, preferably in the iron ore sector.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of HSE legislation, Australian Standards, and Codes of Practice.
- Experience in managing a team of HSE professionals, including Senior HS Advisors, Environmental Advisors, and Quality Advisors.
- Proficiency in construction site safety management and surface water management.
- Experience in coordinating utilities relocation and overseeing Non-Process Infrastructure.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and adaptability in dynamic project environments.
