About the Job

As a Surface Miner with KCA Site Services, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, such as excavators and dump trucks, and assisting tradespeople with various tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Prior mining experience is essential for this role, as it will provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in this position.
  • A recent National Police Clearance (within 6 months) is also required, ensuring that all employees meet our high standards for safety and security.
  • A valid C class manual driver's licence is a must-have, allowing you to operate company vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • The ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical assessment is crucial, guaranteeing that all employees can perform their duties without any health risks.
  • Full working rights in Australia are necessary, enabling you to contribute fully to our team.
Available Roles
  • Trades Assistants: We require individuals with strong communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • HD Fitters: Experienced fitters with expertise in hydraulic systems and mechanical repair are highly sought after.
  • LV Fitters: Skilled fitters capable of repairing electrical equipment are ideal candidates for this position.
  • Auto Sparkies: Experienced auto electricians with a focus on spark ignition systems are essential for our team.
  • Dump Truck Operators: Familiarity with 777G, 785, 793 dump trucks is highly desirable.
  • Production Excavator Operators: Experience with Komatsu PC300, PC2000, CAT 6060, 6040, Hitachi 1200, 1900, 5600 production excavators is preferred.
  • All-Round Operators: Proficiency in Graders (14,16M), Loaders (980M, 988, 992, 992K), Dozers (D8T, D10) is highly valued.
