**The Role**

As the Human Resources Manager, you will be a trusted partner to the leadership team, providing advice, guidance, and support on a broad range of HR matters. You will have a love of HR, coaching and educating managers, and enjoy having multiple projects on the go.

As an experienced HR Manager based in our Melbourne office, you will have a considerable amount of autonomy, independent judgement, and initiative across a range of HR generalist activities. You will enjoy having multiple projects on the go, and have the confidence and ability to prioritise projects to ensure business goals are being met. You will work closely with the Australian leadership team and help support and be supported by our global HR team who are based in New York.

Reporting to the Global VP of HR you will be responsible for:

- Acting as a trusted partner to the Australian leadership team in the delivery of an effective, coordinated, responsive and stakeholder-centric HR partnering service
- Working with the leadership team to understand current issues that can be supported or resolved through HR practices, processes, or policies and coach managers on the most effective solutions to resolve issues and support long-term objectives
- Developing and implementing HR programs, policies & procedures, and ensuring these are adhered to
- Providing leadership and guidance and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of all relevant legal, IR and other regulatory requirements
- Assisting in the development and delivery of management and employee training to support capability development
- Developing a deep understanding of the business operations and building positive working relationships with stakeholders
- Working with the international HR team on global projects and various business needs
- Other ad hoc projects and tasks as required
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, or a related discipline, or significant relevant experience
- Previous professional experience in a generalist HR position
- A deep interest in the Human Resources function
- Working knowledge of Australian industrial relations legislation
- Applied understanding of HR best practices, people development techniques and theories
- Understanding of the interaction between the commercial business environment and HR
- Demonstrated ability to coach managers
- Proactive attitude and use initiative
- Proficient in MS-Office programs, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent intrapersonal skills, written communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, juggle multiple tasks and meet short deadline, often with limited guidance
- Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential
- Able to creatively solve problems
- Professional demeanour and presentation, positive attitude, and a strong work ethic
