**The Department**

**The Role**

The Executive Producer will lead the creation, development and execution of distinctive audio and video content for social media and digital audio platforms - to inform, entertain and engage an English-speaking audience with South Asian heritage or interest / links to diverse South Asian communities across Australia.

Reporting into the Program Manager, the role will see you doing the following:

- Developing the content strategy to inform, entertain and engage an English-speaking audience, including Australians of South Asian heritage, focusing on trending topics covering culture, community, sport and entertainment.
- Producing distinctive multi-platform content, including videos, podcasts, other social media and website content.
- Ensuring content it is delivered in line with audience needs and editorial requirements and reflects an understanding of, and compliance with SBS's Charter, policies, guidelines, legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Leading on planning, editing and generating content ideas and collaborating with language and content producers. Act as the voice of the Australia audience of South Asian heritage in planning conversations.
- Leadership_
- Managing day-to-day operations in accordance with the resources allocated to ensure content production and delivery is achieved.
- Actively managing an on-going team member providing leadership, coaching and development opportunities, including provision of balanced and timely feedback, recognition of achievements and a focus on self-improvement.

**About you**
- Demonstrated industry experience working in video production, marketing/advertising or media.
- Demonstrated experience using and understanding best practice on video social platforms: primarily YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and/or TikTok.
- Demonstrated experience in using image editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Canva), video editing software (Adobe Premiere) and audio recording/editing tools (Headliner) to produce audiograms or longer form video.
- Demonstrated experience using a CMS: Brightspot, Drupal, WordPress, or any similar platform.
- Demonstrated experience using analytics software (Adobe, Google etc.) and native social and video platform data insights tools.
- Demonstrated understanding of the South Asian community in Australia. Fluency in a South Asian language serviced by SBS (Hindi, Punjabi, Nepali, Bangla, Urdu, Telugu, Gujarati, Sinhala, Malayalam, Tamil) will be highly desired.

**Further, it's a requirement of this role to have unlimited working rights for within Australia. Applicants must reside within Melbourne or Sydney.**
