Are you an exceptional safety professional looking for a new challenge? We are looking for a WH&S Manager to build out our safety framework and make an impact on our organization. Collaborating closely with all employees, you'll ensure compliance with company and legislative safety management requirements while fostering a positive safety culture. You will empower employees, lead by example, and drive proactive risk management to create a truly exceptional safety program.

In this role, you'll go beyond compliance. You'll identify hazards and implement preventive measures to continuously enhance our safety protocols, stay ahead of industry best practices to maintain a safe working environment for Stryker employees.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide leadership and guidance to all employees, ensuring their understanding and adherence to safety and management systems.
- Drive improvements in health and safety compliance through conducting risk assessments, audits, and implementing necessary enhancements.
- Coordinate and deliver comprehensive health and safety training programs to ensure a well-informed workforce.
- Develop targeted initiatives and programs aimed at reducing risks, preventing injuries, and aligning with the Workplace Health and Safety Management System.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to engage them in the development and implementation of effective risk control strategies and investigations.
- Analyze trends and statistical data to generate valuable insights and propose solutions to enhance safety performance.
- Manage work-related injuries in accordance with state-based legislation, ensuring proper reporting and appropriate actions are taken.
- Generate reports on all injuries for submission to SSP LT, keeping relevant stakeholders informed.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to quality standards by effectively utilizing the local quality management system and participating in local quality improvement programs.
- Uphold a strong record of compliance and commitment to relevant quality standards, both individually and as part of the team.
- Actively contribute to continuous process improvement efforts aligned with the quality standards.

**Skills & Requirements**
- Proficiency in supporting the setup, implementation, and management of WHS frameworks and strategies
- Training in formal risk management and incident investigation methodologies
- Comprehensive knowledge of WHS legislation, guidelines, and industry best practices
- Relevant WHS qualifications and certifications demonstrating a strong foundation in workplace health and safety practices and techniques
- Experience in managing and evolving reporting systems and processes for WHS, return to work, and Workers' Compensation (desirable).
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively build relationships with key stakeholders
- Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and actively problem-solve in dynamic environments.
- Excellent time management, task prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced and demanding working environment.
