About the role
We are seeking a dedicated person for our Financial Capability Case Worker position Reporting to the Moneycare Regional Manager, you will deliver financial literacy education, information and coaching and maintain a strong focus on supporting people to change behavior.
Responsibilities include
- Providing a holistic service to people in financial difficulty or crisis.
- Helping people build longer-term capability to budget and manage their money better and make informed choices.
- Considering each client's unique circumstances, financial history and behaviours to help them make better-informed choices.
- Developing budgets and actions plans for clients in a holistic and achievable way.
- Managing your own scheduling, case load and reporting of statistical data.
- Working closely with Cross Referral Partnerships and stakeholders.
This is a fixed-term, part-time (30 hour) position located in either South West or Western Sydney.
You will have
- Certificate III in Community Services, or equivalent, incorporating the three financial literacy units, or be willing to complete within six months of being employed.
- 12+ months experience in a relevant field.
- Diploma or Degree qualifications, or extensive experience, in the fields of welfare, finance, community services, psychology or business fields would be highly regarded.
- The ability to work within a counselling framework is highly regarded.
- Proficiency working within a Windows Office environment
- A willingness to undergo a National Police check
