Ensuring that its training and development programs are in line with its strategic direction and imparting valuable skills, competencies, and knowledge to its workforce is a top priority for this organisation. To this end, they are currently searching for a contract-based Training & Development Specialist with relevant experience to join their team.

**The primary duties of the role will include**:
Conducting a training / learning needs analysis to identify the organisation's current and future capabilities needs, with particular emphasis on identifying "skills shortage" and "hard to fill" disciplines;
Developing a training plan and budget for the organisation's adoption on an annual basis;
Coordinating training processes across the organisation, from liaising with third-party suppliers to managing participants and the development and implementation of a bi-annual training calendar;
Facilitating and evaluating the effectiveness of the organisation's training / learning and development programs, including corporate induction, process, systems, personal, team, and leadership development;
Utilising instruction design theories and practices to create innovative learning solutions and materials that align with contemporary adult learning principles;
Creating, implementing, and managing the organisation's training, learning, and development framework, which includes policy and procedure development and review;
Administering, developing, and identifying opportunities for improvement in the organisation's training / learning management system and ensuring that records are up-to-date at all times;
Delivering the organisation's Corporate Induction program to all new employees;
Coordinating the organisation's employee Probation and Performance Development Review processes, including documentation and timely reviews, record-keeping, reporting, and follow-up development plans; and

Acting as the primary point of contact for all training / learning and development inquiries.

For consideration for this role, it is preferred that you have the following qualifications and experience:
A Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Education, Training, or Human Resources;
Proven track record of designing and executing successful training programs;
Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies;
Demonstrated ability to manage and oversee end-to-end training processes across an organisation;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Strong project management skills;
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment; and

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems.
