As the Tool Crib Operator, you will be responsible to perform all Tool crib duties of dispensing serviceable tools and equipment to all operational staff for maintenance activities. You will ensure tooling and equipment is properly maintained, and schedule servicing / repairs in conjunction with the maintenance providers. You will also support the operational business unit at the domestic terminal & hangar in preparation for all maintenance checks, ensuring the provision of aircraft tooling and equipment in the area of responsibility.
You will be responsible for
- Daily issue and receipt of tooling over the counter- Replacement of damaged and missing barcodes on tooling- Keeping the Tool crib clean, tidy and orderly- Checking of shelf life for products in MMTC- Working with due care and consideration to safeguard their own health and safety and the health and safety of others- Complying and co-operating with all safe working practices and procedures developed in accordance with S.A.F.E.- Reporting all incidents (including dangero us occurrences) and hazards.
You will have
- The ability to correctly identify and understand tooling, equipment and facilities requirements- Sound computer skills with ability to use all tooling and equipment standard desktop software- Experience in tooling management and risk assessment- A current Drivers Licence with the ability to gain the SACL airside drivers' license (essential)- Trade qualification in related field (desirable)- Good technical background and knowledge of plant and equipment- Understanding of tooling calibration requirements- Experience of general maintenance and upkeep of tooling- Firm understanding between imperial and metric measures- General understanding of Tool Data Maintenance System- Ability to problems solve- Strong written & verbal communication skills.- Ability to work shift work
