The Contract Lead Residential Waste and Recycling Services will be responsible for the day to day management of contracted services, including service reviews and implementation of programs that align with CoM strategies, waste diversion targets and circular economy objectives. The role will lead a suite of contracts, programs and events in line with the State Government Policy and the CoM Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy.

The role will provide expertise and advice in the provision of waste operations, supporting a broad range of stakeholders in the delivery of waste planning, enforcement of the local law, city design and construction. The role will coordinate the delivery of programs to maximise diversion and minimise waste and lead service efficiencies that achieve a high level of customer satisfaction for residential services.

- High level contract and project management skills with the ability to scope and manage activities for major municipal services that are of high quality, timely and meet budget.
- Highly developed analytical and lateral thinking skills and the ability to take the initiative, drive changes and implement innovations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including the capacity to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to build and manage relationships critical to the delivery of Council’s services.
