The Role

In this permanent full-time role, based in East Melbourne, you will be responsible for facilitating the day-to-day running of the theatre complex at Epworth Freemasons Day Prodecure Centre. Our theatre department caters to a wide variety of surgeries including Gynaecology, General, Opthalmics, Endoscopy, Plastics and ENT/Maxillofacial surgery. You will be part of the Perioperative leadership team and you will report to the Nurse Unit Manager.

**You will make an impact by**:
Leading and coordinating the patient care team, including medical, nursing, education, allied health and non-clinical support staff, to deliver patient centred care

Monitoring and coordinating patient flow in and out of the theatre complex

Working closely with the Theatre Nurse Unit Managers and the Perioperative Services Manager to deliver an exceptional patient, family and staff experience while achieving high-quality clinical outcomes

Leading the team through positive role modelling

To be successful in this role

You are an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse with a calm leadership style together with strong coordination skills and a solution-first mindset. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills helps foster an open, honest and trustworthy work environment.

**You will have**:
Current AHPRA nursing registration

Extensive theatre nursing experience

Relevant post graduate qualification is desirable

Knowledge and understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and ACORN Standards
