**Research Assistant - Computer Scientist**:
6-month contract, part-time (3-5 days per week)

Onsite

Darlinghurst, Sydney, NSW

Reporting to: Head, Heart Valve Disease & Artificial Intelligence

**About you**:
The role

The Computer Scientist will be responsible for fulfilling a targeted role to develop a user interface for developed algorithms.

You will be working on projects that aim to predict disease progression and optimise valve replacement selection and timing in patients with heart valve disease.

You will support a dynamic laboratory that has a clinical focus and links to the Department of Cardiology at St Vincent's Hospital.

Tasks will include user interface software development, testing, validation and iteration.

This is a fixed term, milestone driven contracted position.

**Does this sound like you?**:

- A Bachelors or Honours degree in Computer Science
- Demonstrated capacity in user interface building.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (or valid working rights for the duration of the 6-month contract).**About us**:
