**Position Information**:

**About the Role**

The School Administrative Manager is responsible for the efficient management of school financial and administrative systems, as well as supervision and training of school administration officers. Manages the provision of support for school activities and routines, including student welfare and wellbeing, and works with the school principal, the school executive and teaching staff as required.

**Essential Requirements**
- Working with Children Check Clearance
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake First Aid training.
- Administration of Medications - training to be provided based on student needs.

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.- Capacity to supervise staff.- Demonstrated capacity to exercise initiative, organise resources and meet deadlines.- Demonstrated ability to undertake financial and accounting responsibilities including use of computerised financial/administrative systems.- Effective oral and written communication skills.- Demonstrated ability to manage an office.- Ability to interact with school staff, students and members of the school community.- Knowledge of and commitment to the department’s Aboriginal education policies

Peakhurst South Public School is a K-6 primary school located in Southern Sydney on the Peakhurst Heights peninsula and has a current student enrolment of 340. School numbers have now plateaued with 45% of students come from a language background other than English, with 23 different languages represented and the main languages spoken being English, Greek, Macedonian, Mandarin and Arabic.

Peakhurst South Public School provides a variety of extra-curricular activities including but not limited to Gardening Club, Coding Club, Chess, Lego Club, Debating, Environmental Committee, Leadership Team, Band, Choir, K-2 Dance, 3-6 Dance, PSSA sporting teams. All classrooms are air-conditioned with interactive panels and document cameras in every room. The computer lab, library, Modern Learning Centre and playground are well resourced.

There are a number of easily accessible sporting facilities including Gannons Park, Lambert Reserve, Hurstville Golf Course, Ken Rosewall Tennis Centre and Club Grandviews (lawn bowls).
