**The Role**

The MyState Limited Group has a deep history in Tasmania with a big ambitions to serve more customers across the country.

In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute to this growth story by educating customers and clients (existing and prospective) and communities about:

- What makes us different
- How we understand and protect our customers and clients
- How we make a positive difference in the Tasmanian community; and
- How we understand the economy, and the affect the economy has on households

**Here’s what you’ll be doing**:

- Raising the profile of the MyState Group.
- Advising the MD / CEO and the Executive Team on external communications issues and their role in representing the MyState in the public arena.
- Managing our reputation in the market.
- Managing our industry representation.
- Collaborating with our marketing, internal communications and community teams to create a consistent narrative.

**Here are the key skills and strengths we’re looking for**:

- You will have at least 7 years experience in a senior PR role.
- Ideally your experience will include strategic communications, media and external relations and will be complemented by a relevant tertiary qualification.
- You will have strong influencing skills in advising senior executives on external communication and reputation issues.
- Knowledge of the finance industry, economic market dynamics and ideally Australian regulation and emerging policy trends.
