**Join the team**

The Health and Safety team are a group of experienced and educated professionals who have a passion for safety, injury and well-being. They are a collaborative team that partner closely with their stakeholders to ensure the safety and well-being of our team members, customers and contractors.

**What you’ll be doing**

As the Head of Health & Safety working for Kmart you will:

- Enhance and innovate the health and safety strategy that prevents injuries and improves team member wellbeing, achieved through the creation of an integrated health and safety management system which meets legislative and self-insurance obligations.- Lead the health and safety team who consist of safety, regulatory and allied health and injury management professionals.- Establishing and develop programs which support the safety, injury and wellbeing management system, delivering training, on-site assessments and coaching, analysing data, and reporting, risk assessments, audits, incident investigations and the provision of injury management advice.- Initiate performance improvement projects which align to the Kmart health and safety strategy and support functions managing health and safety risks associated with projects and core operations

**To be successful in this role you’ll have**:

- A qualification in Health Science, Business Management, Human Resource Management, or Occupational Health & Safety
- Previous experience writing board reports and the ability to interpret and analyse data
- The ability build rapport with and influence a diverse range of stakeholders across all levels of a large, fast paced, global organisation
- Led a team of health and safety professionals with a proven track record of delivering results, including the reduction of lost time injuries and total recordable injuries
- A curious mindset that allows you to solve and navigate complex business problems in an innovative way
