**About the role**:
Our government client is seeking an ERP Principal Specialist to manage and deliver end-to-end ERP functional capability aligned to the ERP Platform Manage Assets Value Stream. This leadership role will focus on business partnership, ERP architecture and functional delivery services. This role will be responsible for setting vision, objectives, functional standards, behaviours, and ways of working to create a high-performance functional group.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Lead and role model customer focus by treating all internal and external customers with honesty, fairness, sensitivity and dignity, by designing processes and procedures with the customer in mind, and by working together with other areas of the Department to solve customer issues.
- Model and lead performance excellence and values-based culture in line with the Department’s Leadership Blueprint.
- Be a trusted point of contact for business stakeholders and an advocate for the ISB Group - understand business stakeholder vision, strategy, challenges, and opportunities.
- Manage the ERP Manage Asset Value Stream Team to deliver incremental improvements and project functional change utilising internal resources and external service providers as part of the Manage Assets Roadmap.
- Develop and implement operational strategies for ERP Platform to reinforce relationships with stakeholders and continually improve the brand of the ERP Platform Group.
- Translate business outcomes into an ERP Platform Manage Assets strategy and roadmap (across ECC and HANA landscapes) ensuring alignment to broader the ERP Platform Strategy.
- Work with business and ISB stakeholders to define and scope new work. Ensure value/benefits are identified and incorporated into delivery planning via a prioritised product backlog. Track and communicate value delivered.
- Provide expert architecture and functional advice in the delivery of value stream services.
- Provide internal consulting advice to business and ISB stakeholders - harnessing SAP capabilities and best practice processes to meet business needs and exceed expectations.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to reinforce relationships with stakeholders and continually improve the brand of the ERP Platform Group.
- Collaborate with peers in the ERP Platform team to ensure services are co-ordinated and integrated.
- Collaboration with the OCM Specialist to assist in the planning, development and roll out of OCM deliverables.

**Highly desirable criteria**:

- Demonstrated evidence of capabilities in the Department’s Leadership Blueprint to deliver performance excellence and a values-based culture.
- Highly developed verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills. Proven experience in building strong working relationships with all levels of seniority and demonstration of exceptional customer centricity.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, influencing and management skills - understanding how others think and act - ability to smoothly deliver outcomes through strong business, team and supplier partnerships.
- Creates competitive and breakthrough plans for innovation; generates an attitude of enthusiastic expectancy in others regarding change and challenge.
- Significant experience of working in SAP ECC and S/4 HANA (AWM) environments in SAP functional consulting and or SAP solution architecture.
- Demonstrated significant experience of successfully managing SAP functional teams including the implementation of industry frameworks (e.g. SAP Activate) and functional analysis and configuration services in a complex organisation.
- Significant experience in end-to-end SAP project implementations in a process driven environment in the capacity of functional lead.

**Desirable criteria**:

- Demonstrated experience in working in a business function related to the value stream.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience and industry training and certifications in SAP module functional analysis and configuration.
