This position is crucial for delivering high-standard horticultural services, driving trucks, and ensuring the impeccable condition of Parramatta's parks and open spaces.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in delivering work programs to agreed standards and schedules.
- Operate trucks and perform a variety of tasks to support the Parks Services team.
- Conduct inspections to minimise liability and maintain asset conditions.
- Implement best practices in horticulture, arboriculture, and greenkeeping.
- Adapt to changing priorities and support other teams as required.
- Provide input on operational improvements and ensure the safe completion of tasks.

**About You**:

- Hold a current NSW Truck Driver's Licence (Minimum Class MR) and a White Card.
- Certifications in Chemical Application (AQF3), Asbestos Awareness, and Chainsaw Operation (desirable).
- Traffic Control Licence and Power Line Awareness.
- Relevant experience in parks services and proficiency with related plant and equipment.
- Physically capable of meeting the demands of the role.
- Knowledgeable in Council's software and technology relevant to this position.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, with an awareness of cost and waste minimisation.
- Committed to safety, following Council's health and safety policies and procedures.
