**APS5 Project Support Officer - Teaching**

**About the Team**
The Education team creates a program of resources which align with both the Agency reporting requirements under Outcome 3 and the Australian Curriculum, to share with teachers, students and the broader community resources and activities about the experiences of Australian service.

This unique team requires creative people who can: manage projects; research, write and produce content; contribute to the work of the team; work collaboratively with stakeholders; meet deadlines, embrace new technologies and work with limited direction.

**About the Role**
This is a role that will see you bring your experience from teaching into the APS to support the larger team prepare briefs, submissions and correspondence along with the below duties.
- Manage ongoing business and administration tasks within defined processes.
- Assist with drafting digital and print content suitable for a range of audiences.
- Research and prepare standard Ministerial briefs, submissions and correspondence.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to respond to BAU requests for information and resources.
- Contribute to a cohesive and supportive team environment.

**Required Skills and Knowledge for this role**:

- High level interpersonal and liaison skills and being a strong team member
- Time management skills, including ability to manage tight and conflicting deadlines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills and experience in problem solving
- High level attention to detail
- Good oral and writing skills
- Good Microsoft Office Skills and the ability to problem-solve technical issues or escalate to technical areas if required
- You have good interpersonal skills, utilising a friendly and professional manner to engage effectively with stakeholders. You are a motivated individual with a strong work ethic. You are very well organised, strategically focused and continually seeks improvement in processes, challenging the notion of the ‘status quo’.
- You adapt flexibly to change and remain calm under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- You demonstrate sound judgement and exercise initiative.
- You are an excellent communicator who can motivate staff and build a high performing culture.
