**Reservations Agent**

We have an opening for a Reservations Agent to join our hotel on a permanent full-time basis. This opportunity is for someone who is has experience in hotel front office operations and has high attention to detail. The successful person will report to the Reservations Manager and will be responsible for the day to day hotel reservation enquiries and bookings. This position requires someone who have exception written and verbal communication skills.

We are looking for someone who is organised, has fantastic communication skills, can effectively multitask and who enjoys a busy environment. If you believe that you possess these qualities along with the below, then we want to hear from you:

- Provide and maintain a very high standard of guest service
- Be a team player who promotes a positive work culture
- Have a sales attitude and maintains an awareness of sales opportunities
- High level of product knowledge of the hotel and local area
- Strong working knowledge of Opera, Microsoft Office will be viewed favourably

**In this position you will be responsible for but not limited to**:

- Ability to effectively prioritise work load
- Provide prompt, courteous and efficient handling of all requests for guest reservations, changes and cancellations
- Process all reservations prior to guest arrivals and work collaboratively with our front office team to ensure our guests have a positive and consistent experience
- Action all guest requests
- Ability to effectively manage any challenges relating to accommodation and room requests
- Ensure proper billing accounts according to accounting policies
- Ability to think outside the box in relation to sales and follow sales techniques to maximise revenue
- Ensure complete and up to date room inventory so that maximum yield is achieved.
