Key Account Manager

**Job Description**:
The Key Account Manager will report to the ANZ Channel Leader for our Safety & Industrial Business Group (SIBG).
Job Responsibilities, but not limited to the following:
- Develop call cycle for identified accounts- Execute ISMC (Industrial & Safety Market Center) channel programmes- Train distributor branch staff and distributor internal/inside sales teams- Identify conversion opportunities for both Industrial and Safety products- Identify, prospect, quantify and define channel opportunities within specified territory- Joint field work with ANZ ISMC Channel Leader and Sales field teams- Work closely with 3M SIBG sales team to support end user pull-through activity- Prepare and implement Sales Plan in Salesforce for individual territory in line with ISMC and divisional goals- Monitor, update and alter plans in conjunction with manager to align with ISMC and business objectives- Provide feedback, and aid in development of annual strategic plans.- Develop Sales Plan in Salesforce, aligned with ISMC and business objectives- Ensure all activities, account and contact details are updated into Salesforce weekly within individual territory- Achieve any specific activity (eg. call rate) or other metrics- Attend team meetings and meetings with ANZ ISMC Channel Leader and Division Sales Managers as required, including timely reporting of activities and opportunities.- Input to marketing plans and management meetings as required.- Provide feedback on progress of strategy, to aid with measurement and adjustment of strategy as required.
Required Qualification/Experience:
- Minimum high school graduation. Tertiary education in trade, retail, business or safety or industrial related discipline preferred- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a professional sales role- Experience in an industrial or safety channel sales role preferred- Strong and consistent recent sales results- Strong selling and key account management skills- Experienced selling to retail or trade channels- High degree of computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel analysis, PowerPoint and CRM systems required- A team player, with a team-first mindset- Strong business acumen, communication, time & territory management skills- Knowledge of safety and industrial products or terminology an advantage
