Job Summary

As a Planning Specialist, you play a critical role in managing and coordinating the planning and implementation of replenisment and demand plans for Telstra to ensure high levels of product availability, inventory and optimal customer service standards.

Your meticulous attention to detail and forward-thinking approach is core to your role as you contribute to supply chain planning strategies that optimise the delivery of goods and services in a manner that achieves the financial and service objectives of Telstra.

Key responsibilities:

- Establish and manage category level replenishment plans to balance store demand with business unit product availability, cost and inventory objectives.
- Partner with your upstream Supply and Demand category counterparts to ensure the replenishment plans reflect and harness market and category knowledge.
- Proactively work to identify/address current and potential product shortages and work to optimise the outcome in collaboration with your Supply Chain category counterparts, and internal customers.
- Liaise with Retail Operations to ensure replenishment plans considers store level nuisances/requirements.
- Support the ongoing development of supply chain policies and plans through continuous improvement initiatives to sustain a high level of best practice replenishment planning that will enhance supply chain processes, decision support frameworks and customer service levels.
- Review data and reports on key performance metrics to improve service levels, improve performance, and investigate root causes and improvement areas to contribute to lower supply chain costs, devise corrective actions, and provide recommendations.

Qualifications:
Knowledge
- Deep knowledge of Supply Chain Planning with a specific focus on replenishment planning and/or distribution requirements planning
- Deep knowledge of Integrated Business Planning (IBP/SAP)
- Supply Chain Planning/Management tools

Technical Skills
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience (preferred Retail/FMCG or other world class supply chain environment
- Successful track record in managing replenishment planning within a fast-moving supply chain with short product life cycles
- Relevant supply chain qualifications (APICS/ASCI or similar)
- Bachelor degree (preferred)
