The Home Loans product and pricing team has end to end responsibility for the Commonwealth Bank’s home loans business. We support the proprietary and third party sales and service teams to meet our customers’ needs for home finance and advice. Key responsibilities of the team include managing home loans product and features and pricing with a view to achieving the right balance between volume growth and margins, and making the origination and maintenance process simple and easy.

**Do What Matters**:
As Home Loans Pricing Manager, your role will be to support the development, execution and monitoring of pricing strategies and initiatives. This is done through analysing the Group’s extensive propriety data as well as external data and developing insights, reports, data assets and strategies which are executed by the Home Loans team. Your contributions will influence one of the nation’s largest Home Loans portfolios and the Bank’s key driver of overall performance. **Key accountabilities include**:

- Assist in the development and execution of business strategies to optimise the pricing of home loans.
- Develop datasets, targets for marketing campaigns and reports for use in the execution of pricing strategies.
- Create accurate and effective reporting framework to monitor and ensure proactive identification of risk associated to pricing activities.
- Presenting findings to a wide range of audience including technical analysts, product owners and risk professionals.
- Scoping, identifying and establishing data analysis methodologies to support business opportunities.
- Stakeholder management skills are required as work involves daily contact with various teams across the Group, including Retail Pricing, RBS Risk, Marketing, Group Risk and Analytics.
- Attention to detail as all output is immediately consumed by the business either to generate ideas or to execute pricing strategies.
- A focus on delivering profitable growth.
- Monitoring and reporting on discounting, loan volumes, margins, and portfolio metrics to ensure appropriate actions are taken to manage profitability and performance.
- Working closely with the wider Home Loan product team to effectively acquire and retain home loan customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work to tight deadlines to service the ongoing business needs.
- Respond to changes in the cash rate and funding costs.

**We would like to hear from you if you have / are**:

- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to collect, analyse and summarise the key conclusions from data.
- Relevant SQL and SAS experience as a data or credit risk analyst.
- Solution oriented and detail-oriented multitasker.
- Good commercial acumen and interest in learning the highly complex landscape of home loans pricing.
- Risk Mindset -All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.

Desirable skills:

- Experience in retail banking, finance or economics desirable, but not essential.
- Modelling, scorecard experience
- University Degree in statistics, computer science, econometrics, datamining.
- SQL, coding skills.
- Teradata, SAS (enterprise guide), Hadoop experience.
