As a result of an internal move, a opportunity has become available within our Melbourne based People (Human Resources) Team in the role of People (HR) Advisor. We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to provide operational HR support to our largest operational business area - Customer Experience (Cabin Crew). This is a diverse role, that will see you coaching frontline leaders on a range of people matters whilst ensuring that are our annual people processes and initiatives are effectively delivered.

Reporting to the People Manager - Customer Experience, in this position your responsibilities will include:

- Providing timely HR support to our airport based teams across the Australia/New Zealand network
- Assisting with coaching frontline leaders on a broad range of people matters, including performance feedback, disciplinary processes, attendance management and talent acquisition;
- Providing HR advice aligned to legislation, company policies/procedures and EBAs to a broad and dispersed group of internal stakeholders across our airport-based teams;
- Assisting with the planning, preparation and roll-out of various initiatives designed to support achievement of the business strategy and objectives including employee engagement activities, people performance and recognition programs and talent management processes;
- Providing recruitment support across Australia and New Zealand, attending assessment centres and supporting throughout the interview process as required;
- Reporting on various team-specific KPI's including team absenteeism and performance management;
- Supporting our customer experience team and People Manager with EBA negotiations in both Australia and New Zealand;
- Contributing to a range of HR projects and people initiatives as required.

To achieve success in this position, you will bring the following skills and experience:

- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline highly desirable;
- Sound experience in a HR generalist role, ideally supporting an operational EBA covered client group;
- Experience and confidence in providing detailed, best practice HR advice, with the ability to identify when matters need to be escalated as well as balancing the commercial impacts;
- Sound understanding of the Fair Work Act and Modern Awards
- Understanding of New Zealand legislation is highly desirable
- Experience in developing and delivering training and tools to build capability in our people leaders;
- A team player who is comfortable to operate in an ambiguous, fast paced environment
- Highly energetic, with a sense of humour to match
