About the organisation
The Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) is an independent statutory authority which regulates Victoria's gambling industry. The organisation licenses, informs and educates, monitors and enforces the gambling industry through a risk-based approach to regulation. The VGCCC plays an important role in ensuring the integrity, safety and fairness of the gambling industry so that it delivers sustainable benefits to Victoria. Reporting to the Manager Investigations, this role is responsible for leading and conducting regulatory investigations for the purpose of prosecution or disciplinary action. The role will also involve conducting inspections and performing enforcement functions. These functions include attendance at venues for compliance inspections, observations at or near relevant premises and conducting risk management discussions. This role will be responsible for recommending appropriate enforcement actions, including commencing a criminal investigation or other enforcement action in accordance with VGCCC policies and procedures.
Who we are looking for.
- Substantial experience in conducting and managing complex investigations
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in a compliance or regulatory environment
- previous involvement in undertaking analysis and reporting of data, collecting and analysing information

Furthermore, to be considered for this role you will need to hold a current driver's licence and be able to drive a VGCCC vehicle. Also, when traveling to regional areas, staff in this position should be prepared stay overnight, away from home at the arranged location.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and thorough recommendations, reports, briefing papers and correspondence on all investigations, inspections and compliance enforcement activity
- Conduct investigations into alleged breaches of the legislation administered by the Commission, identify the issues to be investigated relating to relevant legislation, policy and/or operating procedures
- Initiate appropriate compliance and enforcement action using appropriate judgement and discretion
